What Happens During the Onsite Inspection?
During the onsite inspection at your home, appraisers witness, identify, and examine the items by measuring, photographing, inspecting and describing the objects and by verifying that what is being appraised actually exists.
What Happens After the Inspection?
The next step of the appraisal process can take four to six weeks depending on the a number of variable factors and it incorporates different methodology for the offsite research, market analysis and report writing as follows:
- Offsite research – this is essential to the process and an appraisal is not considered accurate unless formal research is undertaken, sales comparables are found for the items.
- Market data analysis is performed and a value conclusion is made.
